to potty train or not to potty train that is the question

Actually it's not much of a question at all. i know that she needs to be potty trained, but we have brand new carpet in the trailer we're renting and not really too keen on having her pee all over the floor....I also don't particularly like having her potty in the middle of the living room either. we are working on it though and she does really well at school but they have the time and patients to take her to the potty every 30 mins.

finally an update on my lil monkey

ok, so i know a lot of you have been wondering what's been going on with Kiana. The 26 of march Kiana went in for her 1st MRI. we left here after we took Aelita to school at 8:40am and stopped at k-mart to get her some things to do while we waited as well as a popcicle and then stopped at walmart to get some jello and another popcicle. we got to children's national in Washinton D.C, around 10am with the intention of visiting some of the sites but mom was starving so we went ahead to the hospital and got mommy some thing to eat and
Kiana another popcicle since that was all she could eat until noon. After we ate we went to neurology and waited for about an hour and then we went back for the nurses to check her vitals, find out when she last ate and so on and so forth. then came the hardest part of the whole process...I had to walk her to the room where they would sedate her and start her i.v. After they had her sedated i had to leave and wait and wait for what seemed like forever. I was finally able to go back to her at around 3:30 after she was done with the MRI were i fell asleep waiting for her to wake up. She woke up around 4:30 it took about 2 more hours for me to be able to get her to drank water or apple juice so that the nurse could take out her i.v and we could go home. so after that was all said and done we had to wait almost a month before we got the results for the MRI and basicly it said that her brain is smaller than it should be, the corpus collusum is smaller than it should be, some of her brain cells went to the wrong part of her brain and she has a hypothamic lesion, there were also a few other things but i can't remember them all right now. Kiana has another Neurology appt July 9th so that the doctor can explain exactly what all that means for her future.
Kiana is also playing T-ball and it's quite intertaining to watch. She likes hitting the ball but doesn't like to run the bases in the order that she's supposed to, and she doesn't particulary like to play on the feild. Kiana has made so much progress in her ISLE(intense structured learning environment) class and next year she will be attending a special education pre-k at either patuxent elementary or sunderland elementary, both of which are about 20/30 mins away from where we live. Kiana also loves to climb on everything, no matter what it might be or if she might get herself hurt. she is such a great girl and is such a joy to have around most of the time.
