christmas

Kiana had a good christmas. She got all kinds of toy and clothes. she's also started walking more and more and for longer distances. i'll eventually post some new pix as soon as i can.

kiana is getting so big. She's crusing everywhere and starting to walk. She'll be 1 next month and she's already almost as big as aelita.

Kiana is doing very well. she's now almost 8 months old. She's started saying da da and crusing around the furniture and babbling all the time. she still hasn't started crawling yet but she'll probably just start walking. Kiana is already almost as big as Aelita.

4 month check up

Today was Kiana's 4 month well baby appointment. She's getting so big. Shes now 14lbs and 6 oz and is 25inches long. She's catching up to aelita already. She's also started eating oatmeal and loves it. she also likes her carrots and sweet patatoes and peas. in a few more weeks or so we'll start introducing her to her fruits. Kiana also has both of her bottom front teeth coming in already.

Getting big

Kiana has just started eating rice cereal this month and loves it, unless it is made with water and not her milk. She's getting really chubby now too. She's now wearing 6-9 month clothes. She's also trying to sit up on her own but she still looks like a froggy when she sits and she falls to one side or the other after a couple of seconds.

Kiana is getting so big. She's now weighs around 13lbs. She loves to eat and be talked to and played with. she's also started to giggle and laugh at people. She loves to play with her little rattles and her gym. She's now trying to roll over but hasn't had much luck with that yet.

3 months

I can't belive that 3 months has gone by already. Kiana is getting so big way too fast. At her last appointment she weighted 11lbs 3oz and was about 23 inches. She's now wearing 3-9 months clothes depending on how it's made. She's got some kind of infection in her eye and i have to give her eye drops every 8hrs and she really doesn't like it at all. She's smiling all the time now.

2months

Kiana is now two months old. She is such a happy baby. she's smiling a lot more now and loves it when aelita tries to play with her.

Kiana is getting so big. She is now almost 10 lbs we'll find out exactly how much she weighs at her next appointment at the end of this month. she's now awake for a good part of the day. she's starting to smile more often especially when Aelita tries to play peek-a-boo with her. shes also holding her head a lot more steady now.
She hates when i give her a bath. lately we've been having issues with her exploding out of her diaper all over the place i just hope that she outgrows this little phase

ER Trip

Today we took Kiana to the ER. Her umbilical cord still wasn't healed and it was starting to ooze pus. They took her back and called the on call peds doc. when he finally got there he said that it was an umbilical cord granuloma and that it should go away after they do a couple of siver nitrate treatments. They also said that she had a diaper rash which we already knew about.

1 month well baby appt

Today was Kiana's 1 month well baby appt. shes is doing well and growing strong. she now weighs 9lbs 4oz and is 22 inches long. today she also got her second hep b shot. This month she has started smiling and cooing. She's growing up way too fast. I still can't belive that a whole months has gone by all ready.

one month old

I cant believe that Kiana will be a month old tomorrow. She's doing well and is very alert. she still doesnt really lift her head up though. tuesday she has her 1 month well baby appointment so i'll ask her dr. about it.

3 weeks old!!

I can't belive that Kiana is already 3 weeks old. she's already so alert and getting so big.

New outfit

This is one of the new outfits from Grandma Cora. Kiana looks a little offended that i put the hat on her. I'm sure she'll forget about it later. she looks so cute though even if she doesnt' think so.

2 week check up

today was Kiana's 2 week well baby appointment she's doing okay. she has a blocked tear duct and her middle toe is overlapped by the other two. the doctor said that it should fix it self but if it doesn't fix on its own by the time shes 4 we'll need to take her to the podiatrist. Kiana now weighs 7lbs 5oz and is 21 1/2 inches long her head circumferance is 14 1/4 inches.

Kiana is now a week old. I can't believe that it's been a week already. here are some more pics of her.

Doctor appt

Today was Kiana's weight check at the doctors office to see how she was doing as far as her weight and to see if she was showing any signs of jaundice. she did well she's now 7lbs and 20 inches long and showing no signs of jaundice. she does however have a hernia where her umbilcal cord was but the doctor said that it should go away on it's own. I can't believe that she's already almost a week old.

Birth Story

Kiana is finally here! Wednesday morning at 7am I went in to the hospital to be induced. At around 8:30 they checked me and i was only dilated 2cm so the doctor broke my water and started the pitocin at around 8:45am. At around 9:00 the contractions were stronger and closer together so they turned off the pitocin and checked me again and i was already at 7cm by then the pain was pretty unbearable so i asked for an epidural however by the time the anesthesiologist got there i had dilated to 9cm and they said that it probably wouldn't take before the baby came. AT 10:33 Kiana Parker was born. She weighed 6lbs 10.3oz and was 19inches long. Has a lot of brown hair and brown eyes. She's a beautiful baby and looks alot like her big sister. At first Kiana had a rough time maintaining her body temp but after a little stay in her warmer she warmed up and started maintaining her temp on her own.

Tomorrow's the big day

Well Kiana has decided to stay put so i go in tomorrow for the induction. I was really hoping to avoid this but it's not going to happen. I just can't wait to finally be able to hold her and see her. I can't wait for Aelita to be able to see her baby sister.

Not much longer

I don't have much longer until Kiana is finally here. I'm really starting to get nervous about the induction but i'm sure everything will go okay. I just really want to hold her for the first time. I'll be sure to post some pictures of her when she gets her for everyone to see.

Only 3 more days!!

Kiana will definitly be here in 3 more days. The doctor has me scheduled for induction on Wednesday January 16th at 7am. I'm really getting nervous about it but at the same time i'm excited to finally see and hold Kiana for the first time. I just hope that everything goes okay and they don't have to end up doing a c-section and nothing happens to Kiana during the induction.

She's almost here!

I got a call from my doctor today while i was out getting some last minute things for Kiana. My doctor has me scheduled for an induction on January 16 at 7am. I was really hoping to avoid having to be induced but apparently Kiana want's to be more stubborn the Aelita ever was.

Still not here

Kiana's due date has come and gone and she's still not here. She's apparently going to be more stubborn then Aelita was. I just really wish she'd get here though. The doctor is out of town right now anyway so i guess it's okay. They've scheduled an induction for next week if she's not here by then.
